Bible Apostolate Team

To nurture a vibrant, progressive and spirit-filled parish family, committed to the call of the Gospel.

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.
-Matt 7: 24-27

Since its inception 2 years ago in St.Vincent de Paul, the Bible Apostolate team sees its mission as catechising and evangelising the faithful. Their vision is aligned with that of Pope John’s Paul II, when he first spoke about the need for New evangelisation. This movement has also been supported by our Archbishop who emphasises the need for evangelising methods that are relevant to today’s society.

The Bible Timeline is a a 6-month long program run weekly by the Bible Apostolate Team. Here, Jeff Cavin’s “Great Adventure” series is drawn upon to delve deeply into the Word of God. Through discussions within small group sessions, participants grow in their understanding of the bible and learn to connect key stories within the bible into one main narrative. This understanding of the bible deepens their relationship with God, and many participants experience a close encounter with Him through His Word.

The BAT will be finishing its run of the Bible Timeline this June. After which, they plan to run more bible classes covering books such as, The Acts of the Apostles,  and Revelations. The Acts of the Apostles class will begin on 9th July and end sometime in November. More details about this program will follow.
