Resumption of Masses

Dear parishioners of SVDP,

Peace be with you.

Since my last message to you, we have put in place the safety measures and protocols and were able to open our doors for Private Prayer on 21st June 2020. Please visit our website for more details about making an appointment to visit the Church for some personal prayer time. I would also like to thank all the parishioners who have come forward to help us as volunteers during this period.

On the 24th June 2020, the Archbishop’s Office together with the Diocesan COVID-19 Taskforce have announced the next steps in our gradual resumption of Religious Activities. All Catholics will be required to register with one parish where they will be attending Mass. The details can be found at

MCCY has stipulated that for starters, only 50 congregants are allowed at any one time for worship. Hence, the Mass Attendance Registration System (MARS) as mentioned by the Archbishop’s Office is a necessary tool that we will be using. Please do register yourself when it goes online this Saturday. After registration to a parish, the next step will be registering to attend Masses when we open.

As with the previous Phase, there are now added safety measures and protocols to work on and we will also be needing volunteers for Sunday Masses. Please allow us a bit of time to work on these issues and we look forward to resuming Sunday Masses sometime in July 2020.

Once again, we seek your patience and your prayers during these difficult times and we will update you again when we are ready to open for Sunday Masses.

May God bless you and your families always.
